Support for horses and the people who care deeply for them
If you’re here, chances are something with your horse doesn’t feel right.
Maybe it’s laminitis, grass reactions, head flicking, behavioural change, or a situation that just doesn’t make sense no matter how hard you try. This page is for owners who are worried, stuck, or quietly carrying the weight of wanting to do right by their horse.
Who I am and how I came to this work
Hi, my name is Tracy Gee and I’m an animal behaviourist who helps owners make sense of horses that are struggling.

For more than 20 years I ran a horse rescue centre, being the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff for a wide variety of horses who arrived unwanted, misunderstood, and often labelled as broken, dangerous, or too hard. They were horses struggling to cope in the situations they’d found themselves in.

Those horses rarely came with just one clear issue. Grass and pasture reactions, mycotoxins, trauma, nervous system overload, metabolic issues, laminitis, head flicking, and physical breakdown were often all tangled together. On the surface, nothing seemed to add up, and the people involved were usually carrying a heavy load of worry and self blame.
Why I shifted my focus
After about a decade of rehabilitation work, it became clear that many of these horses didn’t need rescuing at all. They needed earlier understanding and support. Too often, they reached a crisis point before anyone had a chance to really see what was going on.
I chose to take a different approach and focus on helping owners sooner, before the horse spiralled into becoming an unwanted rescue horse, so horses could be supported before things reached breaking point.

Since then, I’ve worked with tens of thousands of owners as a problem solver, helping people understand why their horse is struggling, reacting, or behaving in ways that don’t always make sense.
How I work with horses and humans
People often joke that I’m the marriage guidance counsellor between horse and human. At times it really does feel like the horse is sitting on one end of the couch, airing their grievances, while the human sits on the other wondering how it all went so wrong.
Jokes aside, when things start to unravel it’s rarely just about training or management. It’s about trust being shaken, confidence being lost, and both horse and human feeling unheard. Horses come to live in our human world, and it doesn’t always make sense to them.

Tracy, with her beloved Percheron mare Cleo. Once aggressive and defensive, Cleo had become dangerous for her previous owner, who did not realise she had turned sour through being severely grass-affected.
With understanding and small, thoughtful changes to her management and support, Cleo was able to settle, soften, and become the happy, connected horse she was always capable of being.
Client Testimonial
Tracy is a gem in her field. She’s genuine, knowledgeable, and I connected with her straight away because of her down-to-earth kindness and generous nature.
She took the time to really look at Ollie’s situation and helped me develop a management plan that actually made sense for us. Since then, Ollie hasn’t had a single day of laminitis.
If you haven’t met Tracy yet, do it before everyone else finds out just how damn good she is.

Free support and paid consultations
I don’t believe people should have to pay just to access knowledge that helps their horse. That’s why I continue to share a large amount of free information through the articles I’ve written over the years, available on this website, the blog, and our Facebook page. For many people, those resources are enough, and they’re always there to use.

Individual support, however, takes time, care, and proper attention. To keep this work fair and sustainable, personalised consultations are offered as a paid service. This allows me to slow down, properly consider each horse and situation, and provide thoughtful, individual support.

I’m also very aware that the humans who love these horses are often struggling too. This work isn’t just about the horse. It’s about supporting you through the worry, the doubt, and the emotional weight that comes with caring deeply for an animal who isn’t okay.
