Horse Support Consultations

Support for horses and the people who care deeply for them

If you’ve found your way here, it’s likely that something doesn’t feel quite right with your horse. You might be facing challenges like laminitis, grass reactions, head flicking, behavioral changes, or simply a situation that leaves you feeling puzzled, no matter how much you try to make sense of it. This space is for concerned owners who feel overwhelmed, unsure, or burdened with the desire to help their beloved horse. We understand how much you care and are here to support you through this journey.

Who I am and how I came to this work

Hello, my name is Tracy Gee, and I am an animal behaviourist committed to helping horse owners understand and support their struggling horses.

For more than 20 years, I ran a horse rescue centre, where I encountered numerous horses that arrived with deep emotional scars, often feeling unwanted, misunderstood, or unfairly labelled as broken and dangerous. These horses were simply trying to navigate the challenges they faced.

It is important to recognise that these horses often present with multiple, intertwined issues. They dealt with reactions to grass and pasture, exposure to mycotoxins, trauma, nervous system overload, metabolic difficulties, laminitis, head flicking, and various physical challenges. To those involved, the situation could appear overwhelming and confusing, leaving many owners feeling heavy with anxiety and self-blame. It is natural to feel this way when caring for such complex beings, and it is my passion to help guide both the horses and their owners toward healing and understanding.

Why I shifted my focus

After nearly a decade of working with horses in need of rehabilitation, I realised something important: many of these incredible animals didn’t necessarily require rescuing at all. What they truly needed was understanding and support at an earlier stage. It's heartbreaking to think that often these horses reached a crisis point before anyone could truly recognise their struggles.

I decided to take a different path, focusing on helping owners sooner—before their beloved horses spiralled into becoming unwanted rescue animals. The goal has been to provide the support necessary to prevent situations from reaching a breaking point.

Since making this shift, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of horse owners, offering solutions that help them understand why their horses may be struggling, reacting, or behaving in ways that can be puzzling. It's been a fulfilling journey to be part of their stories and help foster a deeper connection between horses and their humans.

With understanding and small, thoughtful changes to her management and support, Cleo was able to settle, soften, and become the happy, connected horse she was always capable of being.

Client Testimonial
Tracy is a gem in her field. She’s genuine, knowledgeable, and I connected with her straight away because of her down-to-earth kindness and generous nature.

She took the time to really look at Ollie’s situation and helped me develop a management plan that actually made sense for us. Since then, Ollie hasn’t had a single day of laminitis.

If you haven’t met Tracy yet, do it before everyone else finds out just how damn good she is.

Free support and paid consultations

I will always be happy to share information freely through the articles I have written over the years to help horses.  So, you are very welcome to explore the resources on this website, our blog, and Facebook page for ideas and support across many different equine health challenges.

What I have learned after helping thousands of owners is that when your equine friend is sick or not being themselves, stress can cloud your thinking, and even well-experienced, capable horse owners can struggle to see the bigger picture when worry takes over.

Sometimes what is needed is someone to walk alongside you with a fresh pair of eyes, someone who has seen these situations many times before through the horses they have worked with, and who can help guide you forward with clarity and confidence, whilst giving you some credible solutions and well-proven options to try.

That is where individual guided support can help, not by adding more information, but by helping you make sense of what you are seeing and supporting you to get back on track in a way that works for both you and your horse.
