Sales Terms and Conditions:
By purchasing goods from Natural Horse NZ, you consent to the terms outlined below. We advise you to thoroughly review these terms before making your purchase.
1A-Pick-Ups/Drop-Offs: Due to the logistical demands of managing our equine welfare and consultation work, alongside the day-to-day demands of running our business, we are unfortunately unable to provide pick-up services, personal drop-offs, or accept in-person orders. Consequently, all items purchased from us can be ordered through our website or directly via email, Messenger, or our chat facility. Therefore, please be advised that all orders will be shipped directly to our customers by courier.
1B-Delivery: We try to ship all items as fast as possible, often on the same day, but as we are also involved in horse welfare and educational work, there may be times when our staff are occupied nursing unwell horses or assisting horse owners with urgent welfare or behavioural situations as part of our consultation and charitable support work, so please allow up to seven days for us to dispatch stock items. Most of the time we are able to send our handmade rope tack and other handmade goods out within approximately 7-10 days. However, as many of our products are handmade to order and workloads can vary, during particularly busy periods please allow up to 3 weeks for production and dispatch. We always endeavour to send goods out as quickly as possible whenever we can.
Please note that we do not ship orders on Mondays, as our office is closed on this day to allow our team time to catch up on the production of our handmade tack items. Pre-orders will be sent within the stated timeframe shown on each listing, usually between 1-3 weeks, as stated on the individual item. Please allow up to 3 weeks to receive back-order items or special orders.
Please note that when we indicate that items are "in stock" for our rope tack goods, training sticks, or other handmade items, this refers to the availability of the rope and materials needed to create those items rather than the finished products themselves. Unless expressly stated as "ready to ship," please allow up to 3 weeks for us to craft your items.
1C-Visitors and Property Access: Natural Horse NZ is an online business and working equine facility, and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate visitors, property access, product browsing, personal fittings, or in-person shopping appointments. Our staff work to very full schedules managing customer orders, horse care, consultations, and the production of handmade goods, and we are therefore unable to offer public access to the property. We appreciate your understanding.
2-Payment: Full payment is due upfront before any goods are made or shipped unless by special arrangement agreed to in writing beforehand. We accept payment by credit and debit card, including Afterpay and bank transfer. On rare occasions when goods are sent before payment is made, payment becomes immediately due upon receipt of the goods. Items remain the property of Natural Horse NZ until full payment is received. If we are required to engage debt recovery services or commence recovery action for unpaid goods, all costs incurred will be payable by the customer.
3-Refunds/Exchanges.
3A-Change of Mind: In accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act, we do not offer exchanges or refunds for a change of mind on any of our items for any reason, so please be sure that the item you purchase is correct before purchase.
If in doubt before purchase, don't hesitate to contact us; we will gladly help with your selection.
3B-Faulty Goods: If a customer receives goods that are faulty or damaged, customers must notify us within 7 days of delivery by email or Messenger and provide clear photographs of the issue before returning any items. Items must not be returned without prior approval from Natural Horse NZ. Returned goods must be sent using a tracked and insured postage service. We reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund items at our discretion in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Please be aware that we are not liable for returned goods lost or damaged during return transit. Our faulty goods policy does not cover incorrect use, accidental damage, improper fitting, modifications, general wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused after delivery.
If items are being returned for inspection, repair, or warranty assessment, we request that products are returned in a clean and dry condition wherever physically possible. Dirt, mud, manure, hair, excessive grease, and moisture can affect rope fibres and materials and may prevent us from properly assessing or repairing products. Natural Horse NZ reserves the right to refuse repair work or charge cleaning fees on excessively dirty items returned for inspection or repair.
3C-Hand-Made Tack Items: We handcraft most of our horsemanship tack items, including training sticks, slobber straps and other leather goods, bitless bridles and nosebands, halters, leads, reins, hoof care remedies, hay nets, and all of our rope tack products. Each item is custom-made to order for each individual customer in our New Zealand workshops according to the specific sizes, colours, lengths, rope end options, widths, hardware selections, and other specifications requested by the customer at the time of ordering.
Unless an item is faulty in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act, we are unable to offer refunds, exchanges, swaps, or returns on any handmade rope tack or other custom-made items, as these products are individually handmade to order specifically for each customer. Minor variations in colour, finish, texture, and handmade appearance are not considered faults. Therefore, we encourage you to choose your options carefully before purchasing.
3D-Assistance With Ordering: If you have any questions or uncertainties about sizes or features of available options regarding any of our handmade goods, we are more than happy to assist you in finding the correct item for your needs before purchase.
If in doubt, please get in touch with us via the contact form on our website or through our Messenger link on our Facebook page before finalising your order.
3E-Sizes: We request that you please check the sizes of all horsemanship items before purchase by cross-referencing them with the dimensions provided on each item description and by measuring your horse to ensure the item will fit before purchase, as we are not able to offer refunds or exchanges if you buy the wrong sized item, except hoof boots under our hoof boot exchange policy.
Any sizing advice provided is given as guidance only and does not guarantee fit. Please also be aware that due to the handmade nature of rope tack products, slight variations in sizing and measurements may occur due to rope tension and the handcrafting process. Minor variations in sizing, including differences of up to approximately 1cm, are considered normal and are not regarded as faults.
If you are unsure about the sizing of any of our articles, please do not hesitate to contact us before making your purchase, and we will be happy to help you choose the right size for your horse.
3F-Exchanges on Hoof Boots: We offer a free exchange service on Hoof Boots within 7 days of delivery, excluding postage costs, which are to be met by the customer. We recommend that the horse’s hooves are fully cleaned before fitting or use.
Hoof boots must only be fitted on fully cleaned hooves and on a clean surface such as a towel or mat. The horse must remain standing on the mat during fitting, and the boots must not be ridden in, walked around in, turned out in, or used outside of careful stationary sizing checks. We also strongly recommend wrapping the horse’s cleaned hooves in Glad Wrap or a similar protective covering before inserting the hooves into the hoof boots to help prevent dirt, scratches, hair, grease, rubbing, stretching, marking, and other damage during fitting.
All hoof boots must be returned in strictly new and resalable condition, including all original packaging, inserts, tags, accessories, and parts exactly as supplied. Because returned hoof boots cannot legally or ethically be sold to another customer as new once they show signs of use, any hoof boots returned dirty, hairy, muddy, smelly, scratched, stretched, marked, scuffed, damaged, or showing signs of riding, walking, yard use, stable use, paddock use, road use, arena use, or general wear may be refused for exchange entirely or may incur cleaning, depreciation, repair, or replacement charges at our discretion. Any loss in value caused by returned hoof boots no longer being able to be sold as new will be payable by the customer.
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs associated with hoof boot exchanges, fitting shells, and sizing swaps. Replacement or exchanged hoof boots will not be sent until the original boots or fitting shells have been received back by Natural Horse NZ in acceptable return condition and payment for the outward shipping of the replacement items has been received.
3G-Hoof Boot Fitting Shells: Fitting shells are supplied as a fitting service to assist customers with sizing and are expected to show minor cosmetic scuffing from careful fitting use. However, fitting shells must still be returned fully cleaned, dry, hygienic, and ready for the next customer to use. Hooves should be cleaned before fitting, and we strongly recommend wrapping cleaned hooves in Glad Wrap or similar protective covering during fitting to help minimise dirt and contamination.
Fitting shells must be scrubbed clean using a mild cleaning solution before return and must not be returned muddy, hairy, greasy, smelly, wet, or covered in manure, arena surface, stones, sand, or dirt. A minimum $100 cleaning fee may apply to fitting shells returned requiring cleaning, drying, deodorising, or restoration work. Fitting shells returned damaged, excessively worn, cracked, stretched, gouged, or otherwise unsuitable for continued fitting use may incur replacement or depreciation charges at our discretion.
3H-Hoof Boot Fit and Sizing Advice: We are always happy to assist customers with hoof boot sizing and fitting advice using online measurements, photographs, and our hoof boot measuring diagrams on our website. In most cases we are able to achieve a very accurate fit remotely. However, every horse’s hooves are different in shape, angle, symmetry, flare, heel shape, movement, trimming style, and overall conformation, which can all significantly affect how a hoof boot fits, even where measurements appear correct on a sizing chart or within manufacturer recommendations.
To help us provide the best possible guidance, we recommend sending clear photographs and accurate measurements of freshly cleaned and scrubbed hooves taken in good lighting, with the widest part and full length of the hoof clearly visible, excluding the heel buttress, as shown in our hoof boot measuring diagrams on our website. For the most accurate sizing, we recommend using a firm metal tape measure or rigid ruler rather than soft flexible tape measures, as flexible tapes can bend and distort measurements. Measurements should be provided in millimetres wherever possible.
Photographs should clearly show the tape measure positioned across the widest part of the hoof for the width measurement, which is normally taken through the centre of the hoof from approximately the 3 o’clock position to the 9 o’clock position, as if viewing the hoof as a clock face, with 12 o’clock being the toe and 6 o’clock being the back of the heel. Length measurements should not be taken from the very back of the hoof or heel bulbs, but instead from the toe to the heel buttress line, as shown in our hoof boot measuring diagrams on our website.
We also recommend including clear side, front, and rear photographs of the hooves so that we can better assess hoof angle, heel bulb size, flare, balance, and overall hoof shape when assisting with sizing recommendations. In some cases, we may also recommend small trimming adjustments or discuss hoof balance and trim considerations where these factors may affect hoof boot fit or performance, which we recommend are only carried out by an experienced hoof care professional. For best sizing accuracy, hoof photographs and measurements should ideally be taken within 2 weeks of a professional trim.
We do our very best to assist customers remotely using the photographs, measurements, and information provided to us. However, accurate sizing recommendations rely heavily on customers supplying clear, accurate, and up-to-date photographs and measurements in accordance with the measuring instructions and fitting guidelines provided on our website. Where incomplete, unclear, distorted, outdated, or inaccurate information is supplied, this may affect the accuracy of sizing recommendations provided by Natural Horse NZ. Where customers choose not to follow the measuring instructions and fitting guidelines provided on our website, Natural Horse NZ cannot accept responsibility for incorrect sizing outcomes.
As hoof shape, trimming, and fit vary considerably between horses, hoof boot sizing recommendations can never be absolutely guaranteed, and customers remain responsible for confirming suitability and fit for their individual horse before riding or use.
4-Product Use, Safety, Warranty, and Modifications.
4A-Rein Snaps, Lead Snaps, Rings, and Hardware: Rein snaps, lead rope snaps, rings, clips, and other hardware are not designed to withstand the force of a panicked or pulling back horse and may break if misused in this manner or if stood on by a horse. We highly recommend that our products are not used in this way for the safety and welfare of your horse. Due to this, breakage caused by pulling back, panic, fighting, tying incidents, horses standing on equipment, excessive force, misuse, or other horse-related behaviours is not considered a manufacturing fault and is not covered under warranty. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all equipment is used safely, correctly fitted, and regularly checked for wear or damage before use.
4B-Warranty, Product Care, and Safety: We offer a 1 year warranty on our handmade tack items against genuine manufacturing faults under normal intended use. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect fitting, pulling back, panic incidents, horses standing on equipment, chewing, rubbing, accidental damage, environmental exposure, neglect, improper storage, modifications, or damage caused by failure to properly maintain products. Customers are responsible for regularly inspecting all tack and equipment for signs of wear, weakness, or damage before each use and for discontinuing use of damaged items immediately.
For the longevity and safety of our products, we recommend that rope tack, Biothane equipment, and related products are regularly cleaned and properly cared for. While many of our rope products are made using high quality UV resistant rope, no rope or material is completely immune to wear, UV exposure, environmental conditions, moisture, dirt, manure, sweat, mould, abrasion, or long-term use. Exposure to these elements over time may weaken or damage materials and reduce product lifespan.
Biothane products should be regularly cleaned to help prevent dirt, grit, sweat, and moisture buildup, which may contribute to premature wear of both the material and hardware components. Leather goods should also be cleaned and conditioned appropriately, and rope products should be cleaned according to the care instructions supplied with the products. Improper care or maintenance may void warranty claims.
Natural Horse NZ products must be used sensibly, safely, and only for their intended purpose. Horses are large, powerful, and unpredictable animals, and customers accept all risks associated with the use of horse tack, equipment, and related products.
4C-Alterations, Adjustments, and Unauthorized Modifications: Customers must not unpick stitching, add additional stitching, re-stitch, glue, tape, knot broken sections together, cut, trim, burn, melt, reseal, re-tie, loosen, tighten, move, replace, or remove knots from their original secured positions, alter sizing, remove permanently attached hardware, replace hardware, bend hardware, hammer hardware, weld hardware, drill holes, punch additional holes, add clips or attachments, replace sections, attempt repairs, or otherwise modify products supplied by Natural Horse NZ outside of their intended adjustable design features.
This includes, but is not limited to, rope tack products, halters, lead ropes, reins, bitless bridles, cordeos, hay nets, hoof boots, leather goods, training rods, training sticks, training flags, and all other handmade designs and products supplied by Natural Horse NZ.
Due to the construction and intended design of our products, unauthorized alterations, adjustments, or repair attempts may weaken the integrity and safety of the equipment and can make items unsafe or impossible to repair correctly. Any attempt by a customer or third party to improperly modify, alter, adjust, or repair products immediately voids all warranty coverage and repair eligibility. Natural Horse NZ will not be responsible for damage, failure, injury, or loss resulting from altered or modified products.
4D-Slow Feed Hay Nets Safety and Use: Our slow feed hay nets are designed to help slow the rate of forage consumption and encourage more natural trickle feeding behaviour. However, as with all equine equipment, they must be used sensibly and safely with horse welfare in mind at all times.
For safety, we recommend that hay nets are securely attached using the supplied drawstring and suitable attachment hardware positioned high enough to reduce the risk of entanglement. Carabiner clips should only be attached to the drawstring section of the hay net and not directly onto the netting itself, as this may damage the fibres and weaken the net.
When used on the ground with barefoot horses, we recommend securing the hay net inside a clean old car tyre, wooden feeder box, or similar contained feeder to help reduce dragging, tangling, and premature wear. We also recommend clipping the hay net securely inside the feeder and tucking the drawstring safely out of the way to help reduce the risk of your horse becoming tangled.
Slow feed hay nets are not recommended for ground use with shod horses or where horses may paw at the net, as shoes may catch in the netting, increasing the risk of injury or damage. Damage caused by pawing, dragging, chewing, misuse, incorrect attachment, shod horses, entanglement incidents, or improper use is not covered under warranty.
We also recommend that horses are not fed wearing halters or equipment with clips, buckles, or protrusions that may become caught in hay netting or drawstrings. Customers are responsible for regularly checking hay nets for wear, damage, weakened fibres, or loose components and discontinuing use immediately if damage is found.
Natural Horse NZ will not be responsible for injury, loss, damage, or incidents resulting from improper installation, unsafe use, lack of supervision, misuse, or use outside of the recommendations and safety guidelines provided.
4E-Bitless Bridles, Converters, Bosals, and Training Equipment: Natural Horse NZ bitless bridles, converters, bosals, and related training equipment are designed to be used thoughtfully, progressively, and with educated rein pressure and release. We supply all of our bitless designs with a comprehensive user guide containing fitting instructions, safety information, rein pressure guidance, retraining recommendations, maintenance advice, and general usage information to help customers achieve the best possible results from their equipment. Customers are strongly encouraged to carefully read and follow all fitting, safety, retraining, care, and usage information provided before use.
For best results, it is recommended that horses are introduced to bitless equipment gradually and given appropriate time for retraining and adjustment when transitioning to new pressure-based communication aids. We recommend introducing new bridles and equipment in a safe enclosed area and ensuring the horse understands the cues being applied before riding in more demanding situations.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that bridles, converters, bosals, reins, straps, clips, knots, and all associated equipment are correctly fitted, adjusted, checked for wear, and safely used before each ride. Excessive rein pressure, incorrect fitting, improper use, harsh handling, inappropriate training methods, failure to follow supplied instructions, or use outside of the intended purpose may create safety risks for both horse and rider and are not considered manufacturing faults.
For the safety and longevity of all bridles and training equipment, customers are responsible for regularly checking all rope, leather, Biothane, knots, rings, clips, stitching, buckles, and hardware for signs of wear, weakness, damage, fraying, cracking, corrosion, stretching, or deterioration before every use. Any damaged or worn equipment should be discontinued from use immediately.
Leather bridles and components should be regularly cleaned using suitable leather cleaning and conditioning products. Biothane equipment should be cleaned regularly using warm soapy water and allowed to dry naturally. Rope products may be hand washed or machine washed on a delicate cycle inside a wash bag or pillowcase and allowed to drip dry naturally. Dirt, sweat, grease, UV exposure, moisture, mould, manure, arena surfaces, environmental conditions, and general wear over time may weaken materials and reduce product lifespan.
Natural Horse NZ bitless bridles, converters, bosals, and related training equipment are designed as communication aids and are not intended for tying horses up, restraining horses, dragging horses, lunging from fixed objects, towing, or use outside of their intended riding and groundwork purposes.
Horse riding and groundwork activities involve inherent risks. Natural Horse NZ accepts no responsibility for injury, accidents, loss, behavioural issues, misuse, or damage resulting from incorrect fitting, incorrect application of rein pressure, failure to follow supplied fitting and safety instructions, unsuitable training practices, failure to properly maintain equipment, or unsafe use of bitless bridles, converters, bosals, or related equipment.
4F-Supplements and Feeding Safety: Natural Horse NZ supplements are designed to be used responsibly and in accordance with the recommended feeding guidelines supplied with each product. Customers are responsible for ensuring supplements are introduced gradually, fed correctly, and used appropriately for their individual horse’s size, workload, age, diet, pasture exposure, metabolic status, existing health conditions, and overall condition.
We recommend introducing our All In One product, along with many of our other supplements, gradually by commencing at approximately one quarter of a teaspoon only and slowly increasing to the recommended feeding rates over several weeks. This allows the horse time to gradually adjust to dietary and mineral changes and allows owners to monitor individual tolerance and response carefully.
Customers should carefully follow all recommended feeding rates, loading rates, dose rates, label instructions, and product guidance supplied with each supplement. Where specific products contain recommended loading phases, introductory feeding periods, split daily doses, or short-term higher feeding recommendations, these should only be followed as specifically directed on the product instructions or by Natural Horse NZ guidance. Supplements should not otherwise be excessively overfed, doubled up, or fed outside of the intended usage instructions unless under appropriate professional supervision.
Supplements, minerals, and nutritional products should not be excessively overfed, combined randomly, or introduced in large quantities all at once. Feeding excessive amounts of minerals, combining multiple supplements with overlapping ingredients, feeding several nutritional products simultaneously, or introducing multiple new products together may create nutritional imbalances or unwanted effects for some horses.
Customers are responsible for carefully checking the ingredients and nutritional content of all feeds, pellets, mueslis, balancers, fortified feeds, premixes, and additional supplements being fed alongside our products to help avoid unintended over-supplementation, excessive mineral intake, duplicated ingredients, or dietary imbalances.
Natural Horse NZ strongly recommends a forage-first approach to equine feeding, with quality forage forming the foundation of the horse’s diet and supplements being used only to help support or fill potential nutritional gaps rather than replace proper forage intake or feeding management.
We always recommend making bucket feeds into a soft wet mash with ample added water at all times. Because many supplements are commonly fed alongside chaff or chopped forage, feeding supplements wet is strongly recommended to help support safer consumption, improve feed mixing, encourage water intake, reduce sorting of feeds and supplements, and help reduce the risk of dust inhalation and choke. Dry feeds and powdered supplements may create an increased risk of horses inhaling fine feed or dust particles during eating, particularly in horses that bolt feeds, eat quickly, cough while eating, have existing respiratory sensitivities, or consume feeds aggressively.
If customers are unsure whether products are suitable to feed together, appropriate for their horse’s circumstances, or compatible alongside medications or veterinary treatments, we strongly recommend contacting us before use, where our staff may be able to assist with general product guidance before feeding.
All horses are individuals and may respond differently depending on forage, pasture conditions, existing diet, medication use, stress, environment, management practices, and health conditions outside of our control. Customers remain responsible for monitoring their horse carefully whenever introducing any new feed, supplement, mineral, or nutritional product.
Natural Horse NZ provides full ingredient lists for our supplements and nutritional products on our website so customers can make informed feeding decisions for their horses. All products are formulated within recognised safe feeding ranges when used in accordance with the recommended feeding guidelines supplied with each product.
Due to the significant amount of research, development, practical application, ongoing refinement, and hands-on experience invested into developing our formulations over many years, along with repeated attempts by others within the industry to copy or replicate our products, we no longer publicly disclose the exact formulation ratios or blend compositions used within our supplements.
To ensure product safety and consistency, all Natural Horse NZ supplements are carefully formulated to provide appropriate and balanced feeding levels when fed in accordance with the recommended feeding guidelines supplied with each product.
If customers would like assistance reviewing their current feeding program, existing supplements, forage, or bucket feeds alongside our products, we are always happy to look over the information provided and offer general guidance on how our supplements may best be used within their horse’s current diet and management program.
Any feeding advice, nutritional information, educational material, or supplement guidance provided by Natural Horse NZ is offered as general educational guidance only and should not replace veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or professional veterinary advice. Natural Horse NZ accepts no responsibility for misuse, excessive feeding, inappropriate supplement combinations chosen by customers, failure to follow feeding recommendations, adverse reactions, owner self-diagnosis, inappropriate use of supplements, or outcomes resulting from supplements being used outside of their intended purpose or recommended feeding guidelines.
4G-Herbal Remedies, Hoof Care Products, Skin Care, and Equine Wellness Items: Natural Horse NZ herbal remedies, hoof care products, topical applications, skin care items, wellness products, oils, waxes, creams, sprays, washes, and related products are designed to support general equine wellbeing and management when used correctly and in accordance with the supplied instructions.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all products are used appropriately for their individual horse’s circumstances, condition, sensitivities, environment, and intended purpose. As with all equine products, horses may respond differently depending on age, breed, skin sensitivity, allergies, environmental conditions, existing health concerns, medications, pasture exposure, management practices, and other factors outside of our control.
We recommend patch testing topical products carefully before widespread application, particularly on sensitive horses or where products are being used for the first time. Products should not be applied to deep wounds, severe infections, actively bleeding areas, sensitive mucous membranes, eyes, or serious veterinary conditions unless under appropriate professional advice.
Customers should carefully follow all label instructions, usage directions, application recommendations, storage instructions, and safety guidance supplied with each product and should not excessively apply, misuse, combine, or use products outside of their intended purpose.
Natural Horse NZ herbal remedies, hoof care products, and wellness items are intended to support general wellbeing and management only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. Any information, recommendations, educational material, or guidance supplied by Natural Horse NZ is offered as general educational guidance only and should not replace veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice where required.
Customers remain responsible for monitoring their horse carefully following the use of any herbal remedy, hoof care treatment, topical application, or wellness product and should discontinue use immediately if irritation, sensitivity, adverse reactions, or unexpected responses occur.
Natural Horse NZ accepts no responsibility for misuse, excessive application, inappropriate product combinations, adverse reactions, allergic responses, contamination after delivery, incorrect storage, owner self-diagnosis, failure to follow supplied instructions, or outcomes resulting from products being used outside of their intended purpose or recommended usage guidelines.
4H-Hoof Care Tools and Trimming Equipment Safety: Natural Horse NZ hoof care tools, rasps, hoof knives, trimming equipment, stands, and related hoof care items are designed to be used carefully, responsibly, and only by persons with appropriate knowledge, training, and experience in equine hoof care and handling.
Hoof trimming tools are sharp professional tools and may cause serious injury to both horses and handlers if used incorrectly, carelessly, or without appropriate experience. Customers are responsible for ensuring all tools are used safely, maintained correctly, stored securely, and kept out of reach of children at all times.
Any educational material, trimming guidance, hoof discussions, photographs, diagrams, videos, social media content, or general hoof care advice provided by Natural Horse NZ is offered as general educational guidance only and is not intended to replace the services of a qualified hoof care professional, farrier, veterinarian, or experienced trimmer.
Customers remain fully responsible for all trimming decisions, hoof care work, maintenance schedules, and the physical outcomes of any trimming performed on their horses. Incorrect trimming, excessive removal of hoof wall, sole, bars, frog, or other hoof structures may result in soreness, lameness, imbalance, bleeding, injury, or long-term hoof problems.
Where hoof boot fitting discussions involve trim recommendations or balance observations, these are provided only as general observations relating to hoof boot fit and should not be interpreted as a substitute for professional hoof care advice or trimming instruction.
Customers are responsible for regularly inspecting hoof care tools for sharpness, wear, loose handles, cracks, rust, damage, or defects before use. Dull, damaged, loose, or poorly maintained tools may increase the risk of injury to both horse and handler.
Natural Horse NZ accepts no responsibility for injury, accidents, lameness, incorrect trimming, misuse of tools, over trimming, improper handling, inexperienced use, failure to seek professional hoof care assistance, or any outcomes resulting from the use or misuse of hoof care tools, trimming equipment, educational material, or hoof care guidance supplied by us.
5-Shipping and Delivery.
5A-Supplying The Correct Address To Us: Our couriers require us to obtain a postally correct physical address from all of our customers, including the street number, street name, rural delivery number if going to a rural address, town, area, and postcode for all deliveries so that we can book them into the automated shipping templates on their systems. Natural Horse NZ will not be liable for any losses, delays, or misdelivered items if you fail to provide us with a postally correct address.
5B-Additional Shipping Fees: We will happily combine multiple items whenever possible to minimise courier costs. However, due to rising shipping costs and the limitations of our website shipping calculator, which is unable to always correctly calculate shipping for multiple combined items, oversized goods, heavier parcels, or incompatible products, additional courier charges may sometimes apply. Please be aware that we may need to charge additional delivery fees for larger or combined orders where the actual courier costs exceed the amount charged at checkout. Rural delivery surcharges are currently $5.90 and may be invoiced separately if not correctly selected at the time of ordering.
5C-For All Non-Standard/Rural Deliveries: We require a rural delivery number for all rural deliveries. If you are in doubt if you are classed as being in a non-standard/rural delivery postal area, please check your address on the courier provider websites listed below.
https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/address-postcode-finder
https://www.posthaste.co.nz/address_checker.html
Please be aware that modern courier systems in New Zealand now operate through automated online freight booking systems which automatically validate and classify delivery addresses directly through the courier networks and NZ Post databases. Therefore, we are unable to manually override, alter, or correct address classifications, postcode mismatches, rural delivery allocations, or courier zoning decisions within these automated systems. We are only provided with a list of recognised addresses generated by the courier booking systems and must select from the available options provided.
We can therefore rely only on the information provided by the courier and postal networks regarding whether an address is classified as rural, non-standard, or residential. If you believe your address has been incorrectly classified, this must be raised directly with NZ Post or the relevant courier provider, as Natural Horse NZ has no ability to manually alter these classifications within the courier systems.
If you have a non-standard/rural delivery address and this is not declared at the time of placing your order, please be aware that you will be charged an additional rural/non-standard delivery fee separately by Natural Horse NZ to cover the additional courier costs charged to us. Rural delivery surcharges are currently $5.90.
Please also note that couriers may not insure items sent with incomplete or incorrect addresses, including missing RD numbers. Therefore, if goods are lost, delayed, returned, or damaged in transit due to an incorrect or incomplete address being supplied, Natural Horse NZ will not be liable for replacement or additional courier costs.
5D-Shipping Fees: We use NZ Post/Courier Post and associated courier services throughout New Zealand and always endeavour to send goods using the most cost-effective and suitable shipping methods available.
5E-Save Money On Shipping Fees: As rural and non-standard delivery surcharges can significantly increase courier costs, we often recommend that customers consider having goods sent to a residential or business address within a town or urban delivery area where possible, such as a workplace, friend, or relative, to help reduce shipping costs and delivery delays.
6-Photographs and Product Images: The photographs shown on our saddlery and horsemanship items are the property of Natural Horse NZ and are used for display purposes to show examples of the goods we produce and sell.
