Formulated for daily use, it helps protect your horse from the harmful effects of being grass affected, while supplying the key nutrients commonly missing from New Zealand pastures, hay, and chaffs, creating a strong nutritional foundation for health, resilience, and sound hooves.
If your horse requires additional toxin support due to heavily affected pasture, hay, or chaff, or is highly sensitive to grass toxins, we recommend adding up to an additional teaspoon per day of our concentrated Equi Protect formula until symptoms of grass affectedness have subsided. Always feed within chaff and ensure it is well mixed with water.

EQUI-PROTECT: Our specialised formula helps grass-affected horses, ponies, and donkeys cope when grazing on unsuitable pastures, chaffs, hays, and pelleted feeds. It contains all-natural ingredients: Konjac Plant Extract, Natural Clays, Marine Algae, Food-Grade Diatomaceous Earth, and Milk Thistle.
MAGNESIUM: Vital for the metabolism of many minerals and the regulation of blood sugar, magnesium plays a key role in maintaining normal muscle and nerve function and in supporting strong teeth and bones. Deficiencies often manifest as heightened behaviours.
CALCIUM: Necessary in the correct ratio to utilise magnesium, calcium aids in metabolism and is essential for muscles, strong bones, teeth, and blood clotting.
ZINC: Plays an important role in protein and carbohydrate metabolism. It supports bone and hoof health and helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity while boosting antioxidant status. To unlock its bioavailability, zinc must be fed in the correct ratios with copper.
COPPER: Essential for the development of bone, joint cartilage, elastic connective tissue, and the utilisation of iron.
BIOTIN: Increases the production of keratin, contributing to improved strength and health in hooves.
SULPHUR: A vital component of amino acids, sulfur is used to create proteins for cells, tissues, hormones, enzymes, and antibodies.
SELENIUM: Often low in nitrogen-deficient soils, selenium supplementation is necessary in small amounts for effective immune system functioning. It is a micronutrient composed of several enzymes, some of which act as antioxidants to protect cells from waste products.

ORGANIC SEAWEED: A rich source of over 60 different minerals, amino acids, and vitamins, including biotin, B12, vitamin K, niacin, carotene, tocopherols, thiamin, riboflavin, folic acid, and iodine, all in 100% absorbable forms.
UNREFINED SALT:Necessary for cellular metabolism and energy production, unrefined salt helps maintain hydration and is required for muscle contraction and nerve function.
DIATOMACEOUS EARTH: Food-grade diatomaceous earth is made from ancient fossil shells called diatoms or phytoplankton, which provide many beneficial trace minerals to nourish our horses.
EQUI-JOINT: Supports healthy joints, cartilage, and connective tissue. Formulated to assist with joint comfort, flexibility, and long-term mobility, particularly in horses under workload, ageing horses, or those needing additional structural support.
EQUI-C: Our proprietary Vitamin C formula to support immune function, antioxidant protection, tissue repair, and recovery during times of stress, illness, seasonal change, or increased physical demand.
Please Note: Selenium is not included in this formula. We recommend supplementing selenium separately, based on your region and your horse’s individual requirements, to ensure accurate and safe dosing.
