The pastern strap prevents the boot from being pulled off by overreaching or getting stuck in mud during rides. It's important to note that the strap is not intended to be the sole means of securing the boot. Constructed from a robust thermoplastic urethane (TPU), the strap is designed to stretch under load without causing any discomfort to the horse's pasterns when properly fastened. Additionally, it features multiple holes to accommodate varying pastern thicknesses for a secure, comfortable fit.
