Natural Rider Mecate Reins are handmade from one continuous 22ft / 6.7m length of our bespoke Equi-Rope.
 
The beauty of a Mecate Rein is its versatility. Instead of a fixed rein length, you can set the reins to what feels right for you and your horse, with the remaining rope becoming a useful lead rope. With slobber straps, you can adjust the rein length, leaving the rest for leading your horse when you dismount.
 
This Heavyweight Mecate Rein is made from our thicker 14mm Equi-Rope, which is beautifully soft in the hands yet strong and durable. The ends are heat-sealed for a simple, practical finish.
 
You can purchase the Mecate Rein on its own, or add slobber straps in the options menu.
